Play a 9-hole round of golf between September 14-25. Email a picture of your scorecard, including the slope and rating or the tee box color of the course you played. All scores will be tabulated using the course slope and rating to make it fair. Your scorecard and photos should be emailed to: steve.hamilton@sentryworld.com by 11:59 PM CST on Friday, September 25.
Your golf round should be played in a two-person "better-ball" format. Additional details below:
- 2-person Team "Better Ball" (AKA Four Ball) - https://www.usga.org/content/usga/home-page/articles/2024/05/rules-guide-four-ball.html
- 9-Hole Competition
- Co-Ed teams are welcome
- Play any course you like
- USGA rules will govern play
Scoring:
Each person plays their own ball on each hole until their ball is holed out. The lowest score between the two is taken as your team's score on that hole.
Example:
- Partner A scores a 6 on the hole.
- Partner B scores a 3 on the hole.
- Record both scores on your scorecard. The team's score on that hole would be a 3.
Scoring Requirements:
- All teams must email a picture of their scorecard
- Names of the Associates/Retirees on the team
- Provide the name and location of the course played
- Indicate which tee box you played from. (If multiple tee boxes are played by a co-ed group, the average of the course slope and rating between those tee boxes will be used.)
How the leaderboard is determined:
Scoring will be based on an equation of total team score, and course difficulty.
$50 per team. Only Sentry associates and Sentry retirees are qualified to enter and play in the Sentry Open. Multiple entries are welcome.
