Official rules

SPONSOR:  Sentry Insurance a Mutual Company (“Sentry” or “Sentry Insurance”), 1800 North Point Drive, Stevens Point, WI 54481

CONTEST PERIOD:  The Contest will take place online/virtually during the United Way campaign, from 9/14/20 through 9/25/20.    

ELIGIBILITY:  The Sentry Insurance “Guess the Number of Items” game (the “Contest”) is open to all Stevens Point Claims Associates who are legal residents physically residing in Wisconsin who are 18 years of age or older and have reached the age of majority in the state of residence at the time of entry. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law or regulations.  Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these terms and conditions and Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. 

HOW TO ENTER:  To enter the Contest, participants will access the link provided by email to submit their guess of the number of items pictured in a container.  At the same time a guess is submitted, the participant will be asked to respond to a tie breaker question.   The cost to enter is $5 per guess.  The Contest is a skill-based guessing game.  Rules for the Contest are described below.

SELECTION OF PRIZE WINNERS:  Each Monday of the campaign, eligible players will receive an email containing a picture of the subject container and the registration link.  Each week the game begins after the email is sent on Monday and ends by noon the following Friday.  The Contest winner will be the participant who makes the most accurate guess of the actual number of items in the container without going over.  In the event of a tie, the participant who correctly answered the tie breaker question will be deemed the potential winner. Sponsor and/or its representatives will serve as the judges of the Contest.  All decisions by the judges are final and binding on all entrants. 

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entrants and the ability of the entrants during the Contest.

The first week’s winner of the Contest will be revealed on or about Friday, 9/18/2020 by Email.   The second week’s winner of the Contest will be revealed on or about Friday, 9/25/20 by email.

PRIZES & APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (ARV):  Each week’s winner will receive a $100 Amazon gift card.

ENTRANTS’ AGREEMENT TO ABIDE BY OFFICIAL RULES:  By entering, entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and agrees that any dispute with regard to the conduct of this Contest, rule interpretation, or the awarding of the prize shall be submitted to Sponsor, whose decision shall be binding and final.  Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to modify, cancel, or suspend this Contest, or to amend the Official Rules at any time, without prior individual notice, should any factor interfere with the administration, security, or proper play of this Contest as contemplated by these Official Rules. 

RELEASE OF LIABILITY:  By entering, entrant agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, and subsidiaries (“Releasees”) from any injury, loss or damage to person, including death, or property due in-whole or in-part, directly or indirectly, to the acceptance or use/misuse of the Prize, participation in any Contest-related activity, or participation in the Contest.

CHOICE OF LAW:  All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and the Sponsor in connection with this Contest shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions of any other jurisdiction that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than those of the State of Wisconsin.
