What to bring
Comfort is the prime consideration at Henry's Fork Lodge. Attire is casual, and your best approach is to prepare for a wide variety of weather conditions. Expect wide temperature fluctuations between day and night and be aware the weather can change very quickly. Layering sweaters and jackets over light shirts offers you flexibility, keeping you comfortable no matter the conditions.
During the day, the sun can be quite intense, especially as it reflects off the water. Many attendees prefer long-sleeved shirts for protection from the sun. We recommend packing a warm jacket or parka, as well as a good rain jacket for protection from both rain and wind.
We advise bringing along long underwear bottoms, as they can be useful for wading in the cold water. Light- or medium-weight polypropylene or similar synthetics work best. See current extended forecast HERE.
Consider bringing a variety of outdoor clothing:
- Light- to medium-weight shirts and pants
- Warm jacket or parka
- Sweater
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Oversocks to wear inside waders
- Sunglasses (polarized recommended)
- Gloves
- Hat
We'll provide you with a rain jacket, PPE, sunscreen, and insect repellent.
